Bookkeeper

In this position you will…

Work closely with colleagues as a member of the controllership team. The Bookkeeper is responsible for payroll journal entries, bank reconciliations, reviewing local VAT and withholding reporting, preparing some month end journal entries and other account reconciliations as assigned. 

You will be responsible for…

• Prepares and records, asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries 
• Maintains and balances accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling, and resolving discrepancies 
• Maintain monthly Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses and Accruals schedule
• Monitors daily bank transactions by downloading reports and ensuring that all entries are booked in the accounting system.
• Reconciles bank statements at month end
• Assist in Payroll posting
• Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of master vendor files.
• Assist Corporate Finance with annual audit and financial reporting 
• Complete training requirements as directed.
• Execute all other duties as assigned.

• Proven bookkeeper experience
• Experience with General Ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, including IFRS and SOX compliance.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask 
• Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and technical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs/software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in P&C Insurance experience is a strong plus. 
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to utilize various software programs to maintain accurate records and generate reports.
• Ability to function as a team player.
• Work hours schedule will include some US overlap times. 
• Ability to work in both languages Hebrew and English - writing, speaking and reading
