Foresight is a cutting-edge startup specializing in advanced sensor technology for automotive applications. We are developing a state-of-the-art stereoscopic sensor system that utilizes vision and LWIR (Long-Wave Infrared) cameras to generate 3D representations of vehicle surroundings. Our innovative technology outputs high-precision point clouds and performs object classification, contributing to safer and smarter vehicle systems.
Job Description
We are looking for a talented and driven System and Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with our team to define system requirements (SRS - System Requirements Specifications) and contribute to the design and implementation of hardware solutions based on externally sourced components. This role includes designing the system, its components, and functions from a high level. This position is pivotal in ensuring the successful development and deployment of our stereoscopic sensor system.
Requirements:
- Collaborate with the team to define detailed System Requirements Specifications (SRS) for the stereoscopic sensor system, ensuring they address functionality, performance, reliability, and safety.
- Develop hardware solutions utilizing externally sourced vision and LWIR cameras, ensuring they meet our design specifications for performance, reliability, and compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., automotive safety standards).
- Integrate and test hardware components, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and data scientists, to seamlessly integrate hardware and software components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, optimizing system performance.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in sensor technology, vision systems, and LWIR imaging.
- Contribute to technical documentation, including detailed design specifications, PDR (Preliminary Design Review) documents, CDR (Critical Design Review) documents, test plans, and user manuals.
- Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. (Must)
- Proven experience in hardware development and system integration, preferably in the field of sensor technology or imaging systems.
- Strong understanding of vision systems, LWIR cameras, and 3D representation techniques.
- Proficiency in hardware design (mention specific tools used if applicable).
- Experience with prototyping and testing hardware components.
- Knowledge of signal processing and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with automotive sensor systems and point cloud generation.
- Familiarity with machine learning and object classification algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems and drivers development.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ programming languages.
- Experiance with designing HW for GMSL cameras
- Proficiency in Linux.
- A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- The chance to work on innovative projects that are shaping the future of automotive technology.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
