VP of Finance

Description

We are looking for a top-notch, versatile VP of Finance to lead Finance at Nexar. This role will report to the CEO and have a key responsibility in our Leadership Team, managing a small team and being owner of the end-to-end management of both our operational and strategic financial activities.

This is a “hands-on” role that will enable you to leverage your processual, analytical, and strategic financial capabilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with our Internal and external stakeholders, across our different subsidiaries worldwide, are essential to be successful.

Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals, financial model, and business objectives
• Collaborate with the executive team to create annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to guide decision-making processes
• Partner with the executive & business teams to provide the pricing & modelling functions required for go-to-market

Systems:

• Own the requirements, execution, and maintenance of all financial systems, as well as the requirements from inbound data streams used by financial systems to operate
• Further optimize utilisation of existing ERP systems (Priority) and lead implementation of new financial processes and modules as needed
• Implement new BI and Analytics tools to enable real-time decision-making

SAAS and Hardware Financial Management

• Lead financial management for both SAAS and Hardware Business, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimisation
• Manage capital and inventory processes including collaboration with Sales and Operations teams
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights for continuous improvement
• Risk Management: Identify and assess potential financial risks, providing proactive solutions to mitigate and manage risks effectively
• Investor Relations: Proactively foster relationships with investors, presenting financial reports, and ensuring transparency in financial matters and participate in fundraising activities and strategic financial discussions
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor our finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture, providing guidance and support to other departments regarding financial matters
  
  

Requirements

Technical skills & qualifications

• Proven experience as a VP of Finance or in a senior financial leadership role
• Strong understanding of both SAAS and Hardware business models (must have)
• Data-driven and tech-savvy profile, with a passion for automation and efficiency
• Solid knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and risk management best practices
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, and experience in projecting, modelling, and creating business cases
• Demonstrated success in supporting fundraising and managing investor relations
