About This Opportunity

The Value Stream Manager is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end value stream of a product after transfer to production, from raw material, engineering and quality aspects. This role involves identifying opportunities for process improvement, reducing waste, and increasing efficiency to maximize value creation for the product manufacturability.

In this role, you will…

• Value Stream operation
• Analyze the entire value stream, including production processes, supply chain activities, engineering and quality, to ensure the smooth production of the product.
• Identify value-added and non-value-added activities and implement strategies to streamline processes and eliminate waste
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into actionable plans and deliverables
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog: ECOs, improvement opportunities, requirements for testability
• Make sure the production line gets a fluent and healthy inventory to meet the weekly , monthly and quarterly build plan
• Process Improvement
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of value stream processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to standardize processes, improve workflow, and optimize resource utilization.
• Implement tools and techniques such as Kaizen events, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement and achieve operational excellence
• Performance Monitoring and KPIs
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of the value stream and track progress towards improvement goals.
• Monitor KPIs regularly and analyze performance data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for further optimization.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate performance metrics and improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
• Supply chain Collaboration
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Work closely with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback, and incorporate customer requirements into value stream improvement initiatives.
• Develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment towards shared goals.
• Engineering Collaboration
• Partner with engineering to ensure that new products are designed for manufacturability, meet quality standards, and are seamlessly integrated into existing production processes.
• Engineering input is essential for capacity planning, facility layout design, and expansion projects within the value stream.
• Value Stream Managers can collaborate with engineering to assess production capacity, optimize resource utilization, fix product issues to improve Yield both for FG and subassembly.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 8-10 years of experience in lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and process improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of industry best practices and standards related to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
