Senior Accountant

As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success and sustainability of our innovative start-up. Leveraging your expertise in financial management, compliance, and strategic analysis, you will oversee all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. Reporting directly to senior management, you will provide strategic insights, manage financial reporting processes, and drive process improvement initiatives to support our growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting:

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

1. Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor cash flow projections and manage working capital to optimize liquidity.
• Forecast cash flow requirements and implement strategies to mitigate cash flow risks.
• Coordinate with banking institutions to manage cash balances and optimize banking relationships.

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Manage accounts payable process, including reconciliations, payments to suppliers, and resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts receivable function, including invoicing, collections, and credit management.
• Respond to inquiries from customers and suppliers regarding payments and account details.

1. Financial Systems Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in financial systems and processes.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Drive process optimization initiatives to streamline workflows and improve financial reporting capabilities.

1. Legal Compliance and Agreements:

• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to financial operations.
• Manage all legal proceedings and agreements, including contracts with suppliers and customers.
• Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to address legal matters of the company.

Requirements:

• CPA qualification is a must.
• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Strong proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing new accounting standards.
