Engineering Team Leader (Cyber Threat Intelligence)

Upstream is looking for a talented Engineering Team Leader to join the Engineering department and lead the development of our Automotive-focused cyber threat intelligence product (AutoThreat®). As an Engineering Team Leader you will be responsible for managing a team of full-stack developers who will design, develop and deliver Upstream’s AuthThreat® SaaS product.

This role is full-time and is Israel based.

Responsibilities:

• Set a strategic engineering direction to Upstream’s AutoThreat® product, drive planning cycles, and help us keep our priorities in order.
• Communicate technical and product decisions to the relevant team members, resolve blocking issues, and keep our development machine humming.
• Work side by side with our product managers, AutoThreat® analysts and cybersecurity researchers.
• Manage a team of high-performing engineers.
• A passion for solving industry challenges.
• Provide regular job performance feedback, hold one-on-ones and provide career development support to your direct reports.
• Actively participate in our recruiting process, helping us to grow our engineering team.
• Hands-on development - up to 80%.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience as a team leader of productive, high-performing engineering teams.
• 7+ years of experience building web applications in both frontend and backend.
• Strong track record of delivering high-quality software, while leading teams.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and collaboration rather than pure authority.
• Ability to make key decisions in a timely manner, while simultaneously weighing the needs and input of multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interested in partnering with product, design, and various stakeholders across the company to understand how they operate and how to enhance offerings.
• Experience with NodeJs - Advantage.
• Experience with ElasticSearch - Advantage.
• Experience with React.js - Advantage.
• Experience and knowledge of cybersecurity - Advantage.
