As a UX/UI Lead Engineer at BSC, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing user experience and interfaces for our laser devices in the Urology division. You will consider the different aspects that shape an end user’s experience, including defining the organization and design of workflows, tasks, and navigation structure, as well as the holistic treatment of content and information across the product. You will address the look, feel, and interactive elements of the product. You will work closely with our Product, Sys Eng, SW, DQA, Mechanics and Marketing teams as well as clinical experts to ensure a seamless, intuitive, consistent and aesthetically pleasing user experience across all platforms, while meeting industry and brand standards and user needs.

Main Duties

• Be part of a mission to establish excellent UX/UI design foundation and culture in the laser franchise site.
• Design end to end user experiences and interfaces from early ideas to detailed implementation, in alignment with the brand standards and user needs.
• Work with UI designers to design an intuitive, functional, and user-friendly UI, and create mockups and prototypes to illustrate design concepts at early phases.
• Take ownership, in alignment with product and clinical functions, of defining all product user flows and use cases, create task error analysis, and define errors representation to user.
• Work closely with the SW team on implementing the defined user flows.
• Work closely with external design bodies as applicable.
• Take a key role in Usability analysis (formative and summative) in cooperation with DQA - evaluate the effectiveness of implemented designs and iterate as necessary.
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in medical device usability.
• With the product team, identify insights from customer research and market analysis.
• Solve complex and diverse problems, take a new perspective on existing solutions and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering.
• Proven experience of at least 5 years as a UX/UI Designer/UX Engineer/similar role.
• Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills and excellent teamwork
• Fluent in Hebrew and English
• Experience in Medical devices - advantage.
• Experience in a global company – advantage
