Community VP

What is Effective Altruism?

Effective Altruism is a global movement aimed at maximizing the impact of an individual’s resources to do the most good in the world. We are a small team consisting of four team members, and we are looking for someone interested in being part of the leading team of the organization and the community and grow together with it.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as the Community VP at Effective Altruism Israel, located in Ramat Gan. The community VP will be trusted with two main goals- increasing the number of people in Israel who strive to make a positive impact and increasing the number of people whose social work has been significantly supported by Effective Altruism Israel.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the activity and design of the community
• Developing the organization's strategy while monitoring its execution
• Development and management of new projects and programs
• Responsibility for branding, communication and marketing of the organization
• Supporting community members and networking
• Creating partnerships with high-impact organizations
• Production of events
• Giving lectures and representing EA
• Managing freelancers or volunteer teams

Qualifications

• Prior knowledge of EA’s principles
• Ability to communicate these ideas clearly and coherently
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trust with a wide variety of parties
• Fluency in Hebrew and English
• Technological inclination and fondness for learning and applying innovative tools independently
