Data Scientist

An innovative fintech startup is looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join the company.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of AI and machine learning models to solve complex challenges in financial market analysis.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis and robust research to inform model development and feature creation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI technologies into the products and services.
• Design and execute experiments and predictive models to understand data patterns and provide actionable insights.
• Publish research findings in internal reports and external publications and present at conferences to establish thought leadership.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AI and machine learning, continuously exploring new tools and technologies that could benefit the company.
• Establish data governance and best practices within the company as the first specialist in this area.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with a proven track record of leveraging AI to solve real-world problems.
• Vast experience in developing NLP/LLM models in a near production environment.
• Very strong proficiency in programming Python language.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Pandas).
• Excellent skills in data manipulation and analysis of large datasets and search algorithms.
• Familiarity with time series, cross sentinel and textual data sets.
• Ability to communicate complex data in a clear and actionable manner to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in deploying models/prototypes to production and understanding of model lifecycle management.
• Knowledge in financial markets - advantage.
