Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Senior Communications Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to develop, apply, and evaluate advanced signal processing and communication technologies. You will be instrumental in creating innovative, resilient solutions in wireless communications.

Typical projects include:

• End-to-end modeling and simulation of physical layer signals.
• Design and verification of real-time signal processing modules on top of GNU Radio.
• Usage of SDRs to implement communication protocols and perform signal analysis.
• Optimization of DSP algorithms to improve signal detection in noisy environments.
• Evaluation of RF chains and RX/TX schemes; throughput and interference management.
• Waveform design and prototyping under challenging channel conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in simulation and analysis software tools such as MATLAB or Python.
• Technical background in signal processing and communications domains such as:
• Detection and estimation theory, waveform design, modulation theory.
• Error control coding, information theory, stochastic processes, channel estimation.
• System performance analysis, RF laboratory testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied mathematics, physics, systems engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise in simulation and analysis software tools such as MATLAB or Python.
• Experience with laboratory testing, experimentation, and programming software defined radios (SDRs) using C++, Python, or GNURadio.
• Experience writing VHDL or Verilog for FPGAs.
• Leadership experience in technical innovation.
