Breaking News Writer & Editor

The Jerusalem Post, Israel's oldest and largest English daily newspaper, is hiring for the role of Breaking News Editor & Writer.

Breaking News Editors and Writers are those that are in control of all that happens on JPost.com. That means posting on our social media platforms, uploading reporter articles onto our website, editing news stories, placing them on and off the JPost home page, writing articles and more. It's an excellent job for journalists-in-training, and it operates 24/7, meaning we're looking for people with a flexible level of availability to work the normal and the odd hours alike.

The position is available for both part- and full-time employment (3-5 work days/week).

Requirements:

- Based in Jerusalem or can regularly commute to the city

- Fluent in English - a must

- Hebrew at a professional level at least - a must

- Familiar with Israeli news and affairs

- Adept at using social media (Facebook, Twitter)
