Financial Controller

What we’re looking for:

Aleph is looking for a motivated and data-oriented Controller with Big-4 experience and the desire to jump into the world of venture to join our Finance team. This role is an opportunity to interface with some of the best Israeli startups in the ecosystem, and be part of a team that works independently and embraces new technology as part of our day-to-day.

Who you are - the ideal candidate:

*Is a CPA who loves accounting work and the challenge of racing through the quarter

*Had a Big-4 internship with 1-2 years of post internship work, either in auditing or as a controller

*Is experienced with preparing financial statements - a must

*Is fluent in English - a must

*Has MS Office and Google Apps knowledge

*Loves numbers and is crazy about accuracy and precision

*Is organized, thorough, and an independent worker

*Has knowledge of Priority - advantage

Some of the things you’ll be doing…

Controlling and Accounting

*You will be responsible for the preparation and execution of the fund's quarterly financial reports - including basic bookkeeping on Priority, and preparing the audited financials and tax returns with the fund’s auditor

*Working independently with investment management software (Dynamo) to update investment transactions

*Preparing invoices for payment by conducting the allocation of expenses across Aleph entities

*Critical support in the preparation of annual meeting presentations

Portfolio Valuation

*You will learn to operate our valuation tool and become familiar with audit valuation requirements to keep the status of our portfolio current

*Data collection from portfolio companies and creation of reports based on that

Compliance and Regulation

*You will take responsibility for fund compliance across various jurisdictions

*Be responsible for AML and KYC processes for our investors

*Own the annual and periodical regulatory requirements with regulatory bodies in the US and Cayman
