EyeMed Technologies develops unique solutions for IOL (intra-Ocular Lens) adjustment post Cataract surgery - the most frequently performed surgery in the World. The device is an opto-mechanical micro implant, made of Nitinol and special optical materials with an integrated, remote adjustable capability, for optimization of patient vision post surgery.

Position Overview:
EyeMed is seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our Research and Development team as a System Engineer with a focus on mechanical engineering. In this role, you will play a key part in the development and optimization of our cutting edge technology. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and development in the dynamic field of medical devices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the system architecture and design, ensuring alignment with product requirements, standards and regulations.
- Define and implement system level requirement and specifications.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product safety and reliability.
- Define and implement verification and validation activities including test method development, execution and analysis.
- Own design control documentation including design input/outputs, tractability matrices and phase control design reviews.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements related to our field.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master's degree is an advantage (Preference for a reputable university).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles within the medical device industry.
- Experience as a System Engineer is a big advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to methodically troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Motivated and self-driven, with a passion for innovation and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the medical device industry.
