New Product Introduction Engineer

Role Description

This full-time, on-site, Mechanical Engineer role is located in Petah Tikva and is responsible for leading the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for STXI's electromechanical products and solutions. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including project managers, R&D, operations, and quality assurance, as well as with external subcontractors and manufacturers, to ensure successful project completion.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering processes of the entire product life-cycle from early development stages and prototyping, through mass production, to end of life.
• Create and manage product files, including creating the engineering documents such as assembly instructions and test instructions.
• Bill of Material Management and Configuration and Change Control Management
• Support sales engineers in presale activities of new projects in creating 3D+2D drawings (Solidworks), leading the prototype manufacturing and transfer to production.
• Approve new design mechanical drawings before transfer to production.
• Work closely with R&D, Operations and Product/Project managers as well as external manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
• 3+ years of experience with NPI processes, managing BOM (Bill of Material), Change Control, and Product Configurations in ERP systems
• Knowhow of manufacturing processes and mechanical assembly principles (e.g. CNC, 3D Printing, Plastics..)
• Experience in the field of Motion Control / Industrial Automation is an advantage
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
• Ability to define and write assembly instructions, test procedures and reports in English
• Ability to lead, manage and prioritize multiple tasks in parallel to meet deadlines
• High proficiency and professional level of communication in English – both verbal and written
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and to lead cross-functional projects
