VP R&D

The role will oversee all aspects of R&D activities, drive innovation, and lead the development of cutting-edge products/services that align with our company's strategic goals and objectives. This role presents an exciting opportunity to impact a fast-paced startup environment significantly.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to the R&D team, leveraging your deep expertise in both Backend (Python, Java etc) and Frontend (Angular, React etc).
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of R&D professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Set clear expectations, provide feedback, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully leading R&D teams and delivering innovative products to market. Showcase your ability to drive results, meet project milestones, and exceed expectations in a fast-paced environment.
• Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Identify opportunities for innovation and lead the development of new technologies, products, and features to maintain our competitive edge.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the company's R&D strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Drive initiatives to enhance product performance, scalability, and reliability while optimizing resources and mitigating risks.
• Collaboration: Foster strong relationships across the organization. Work collaboratively to ensure alignment of R&D initiatives with market needs and business priorities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in research and development leadership roles, preferably in a global startup environment.
• Proven track record of successfully leading R&D teams and delivering innovative products/services to market.
• Deep technical expertise in both Backend and Frontend development.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
