Accessibility Expert

Job Description

We're looking for an Accessibility Expert to join our team at Wix, dedicated to advancing accessibility initiatives across our platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products are inclusive and accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities. You will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into our product development processes
• Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the accessibility of Wix products, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
• Work closely with designers and engineers to ensure that new features and updates meet high standards of inclusivity
• Stay informed about changes in accessibility standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring that Wix products remain compliant and up-to-date
• Gather feedback from users with disabilities and incorporate their input into product enhancements and improvements
• Advocate for accessibility initiatives internally, promoting awareness and driving positive change
• Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and collaborative environment, working together to ensure the success of Wix's accessibility efforts
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in accessibility-related roles, demonstrating expertise in evaluating, implementing, or advocating for accessibility solutions
• Strong knowledge of accessibility best practices, guidelines and regulation
• Proficiency in HTML and familiarity with web standards
• In-depth understanding of how screen readers and assistive technologies interact with web content
• Experience in establishing robust quality guidelines and standards for accessibility-focused content
• You’re a collaborative team player with a proactive approach, always eager to learn and tackle new challenges head-on
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts related to accessibility to cross-functional teams
• You have a proven track record of driving initiatives and championing topics within teams and organizations
