Computer Vision Engineer

A startup in the Insurance Tech field has developed an innovative digital insurance platform revolutionizing the purchase, underwriting, and management of insurance for multi-family homes in the USA.

The platform offers a fast, online process for comparing insurance quotes and selecting the appropriate policy in under five minutes, driven by data and AI. It is available to both private customers (B2C) and insurance agents across the USA (B2B).

The role is part of a team working from research to production in the fields of Computer Vision and Deep Learning within GCP, AWS, MLOps, PyTorch, and TensorFlow environments. This position will showcase research capabilities and understanding, as well as involve deployment and cloud-based operations. The company also plans to expand into NLP projects soon.

Located in the Sharon area, the company operates on a hybrid model with two days of remote work per week. They have around 70 employees.

The company is stable, rapidly growing, has paying customers, and recently completed a Series B funding round, raising over $55 million to date!

Responsibility

• Develop machine learning and computer vision algorithms.

• Research algorithmic techniques

• Own data science processes end-to-end: from data collection, sanitizing, and preprocessing, through model training and development, all the way to deploying models to production.

• Design and building machine learning pipelines infrastructure for production and research alike.

Requirements

• M.Sc./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar, with specialization in deep learning and computer vision.

• 5 years hands-on experience in computer vision algorithms development, using Pytorch or Tensorflow.

• Ability to initiate and lead machine learning projects end-to-end.

• Experience in deployment of deep learning models- an advantage.

• Team player, positive, driven, independent and fast learner.
