Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Lab Support Engineer to lead our newly established lab in Rennes (France).

You will report to the Director of System Integration & QA, Broadband business unit.

Location

On-site – working 5 days a week from the office.

What You Will Be Doing

Management and maintenance of R&D Lab, which contains HW setups under testing including networking components (switches/routers/servers).

• Lab equipment accounting.
• Communicating with the Israeli Lab support team (in English), RnD Teams, local IT and local contractors in order to build and configure the Lab.
• Report status and progress on lab activities to management on frequent cadence.
• Control patching, electricity, air conditioning, fire protection.
• Distribute, install and connect equipment physically in the lab: switches, servers, RPDs, CMs, PON equipment.
• Install and maintain VMWare.
• Install Linux/Windows VMs from templates.
• Maintain Rennes setups and equipment documentation: Confluence, LabX, Visio, Etc.
• Configuring switches and cores to make setups work.
  
  

• BA/MA degree in technical sciences.
• 3 years of experience in Data Centers: cabling, wiring, equipment accounting and physical installation, etc.
• Networking hands on experience (routers/switches configuration)
• Basic Networking knowledge (CCNA level)
• Juniper switches knowledge – Advantage.
• Linux, VmWare, Zabbix knowledge – Advantage.
• High technical abilities, good proven debugging abilities.
• Excellent inter-personal skills and high customer service awareness.
• High initiative and time management skills.
• Good reporting and documentation maintenance skills.
• Fluent English (writing and speaking).
