Laboratory Research Assistant

Alpha TAU is a medical device company in Jerusalem that develops and commercializes an innovative cancer treatment utilizing alpha radiation.

Position Overview:

We seek a skilled and motivated research assistant to join our research team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cell culture techniques (in vitro) and experience working with mice. As a member of our research group, you will play a key role in conducting experiments, collecting data, and contributing to advancing our scientific objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Animal facilities maintenance includes cleaning cages, handling mice (food and water), cleaning the floor, and Other Tasks.
• Laboratory maintenance, including cleaning according to SOPs. 
• Perform IHC experiments, including sample preparation.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring functionality and coordinating with the appropriate maintenance personnel.
• Collaborate with researchers and scientists to implement laboratory protocols, adapt methodologies, and contribute to developing innovative techniques.
• Participate in team discussions, share findings, and contribute to interpreting results during meetings.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented research environment
• Hands-on experience working with mice, including handling, treatment administration, and sample collection, is a plus.
• BA degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Immunology) is a plus.
