Cyber Security Researcher

Key Duties

● Conduct thorough research and analysis of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits.

● Develop and enhance threat detection methodologies and tools.

● Monitor emerging threats and security alerts, and provide insights and recommendations.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into various projects.

● Perform security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.

● Create detailed reports and documentation on findings, methodologies, and recommendations.

● Contribute to the development of security protocols and standards.

● Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices.

● Participate in incident response and forensic investigations as needed.

● Educate and train team members on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.

What we’re looking for:

● At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity research or a related field.

● Strong understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.

● Proficiency in security assessment tools and methodologies.

● Hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.

● Solid knowledge of security frameworks and protocols.

● Experience with incident response and forensic investigations.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a remote setting.

● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

● Passion for cybersecurity and staying informed about the latest developments in the field.

● Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, etc.).

● Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, NIST, GDPR) is a plus.
