Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-growing Data Infra Team in order to build and maintain the foundational ML and data services, tooling, and automation for Rise’s Tapjoy Ad Serving Platform.

This role offers a unique chance to shape the future of our data ecosystem, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and take ownership of projects from inception to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of ML models into production environments, collaborating with data scientists, devops and R&D teams to integrate models into our systems.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support data ingestion, processing, and storage, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and security.
• Collaborate with data teams in order to understand how to optimize their processes.
• Devise creative solutions to problems and either implement them yourself or work with other teams to do so.
• Actively advance your knowledge in engineering best practices.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, machine learning engineering, or a related field. - MUST!
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker / google Vertex AI or similar
• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses like: BigQuery, Redshift etc
• Experience at AWS cloud platform and its data lake formation and stack: S3, Airflow, Glue, Redshift, RDS, EC2, VPC.
• Coding proficiency in Python programming languages.
• Solid knowledge of Apache Airflow or alternative ETL tools.
• Desire to learn and grow as you work on a highly performant ad-serving platform.
• Ability to communicate clearly in technical and non-technical settings.

Advantages:

• Hands-on experience with IAC tools like: Terraform, Cloudformation, Pulumi.
