Senior Data Architecture Engineer

We're seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Architecture Engineer to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our diverse database infrastructure, primarily on AWS. Responsibilities include collaborating with teams, shaping data architecture using Python and PostgreSQL, Neptune, Redshift, and Redis databases. In addition, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and establishing SLAs for system observability.

What You'll Do:

• Contribute to developing and executing a data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, security, and compliance in AWS environments
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement complex data architectures on AWS, leveraging relevant services
• Ensure databases on AWS meet or exceed SLAs, actively monitoring and managing performance to minimize downtime and optimize queries
• Oversee ETL processes and data streaming pipelines in AWS, ensuring timely and accurate data transfer
• Implement and manage observability practices using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, New Relic, to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data architecture performance
• Plan, coordinate, and execute data and configuration migration initiatives on AWS, ensuring seamless transitions with data integrity and security
• Support in establishing and enforcing data governance policies, including ownership, access controls, and data lifecycle management practices, especially within AWS

What We Look For:

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in Database Management
• Strong expertise in various database types, including relational, columnar, and graph databases, with a focus on AWS solutions
• Proficiency in Change Data Capture (CDC) methodologies and implementation
• Experience with data lake architecture and management
• Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks
• In-depth understanding of ETL processes and data streaming technologies
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive approach with a strong self-service mentality
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience working with Python, Juniper Notebook, CI/CD Pipelines, AWS Lambda, and similar tools.
