Algorithm Team Lead

This enables a lightning speed checkout, along with personalization and optimization features for both the shopper and the retailer.

Responsabilities:

As the team lead, you will focus on leading a talented research team specializing in cutting-edge and unique algorithms in object detection, classification, activity recognition, tracking, and other new and interesting fields, all in a real-world environment, solving actual problems for our customers and our product. You will institute and manage research procedures, and work closely with colleagues from other R&D teams, as well as other departments in the company.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated proficiency in AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies.
• Minimum of 7 years hands-on experience in (one or more of the following subjects) classification, object detection, tracking, segmentation, and localization.
• Proven track record of leading computer vision teams for at least 2 years, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for successful project implementation and deployment.
• Ability to translate business and product requirements into algorithmic solutions. Strategic mindset to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization within the organization's product offerings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, operations, and support, toward company goals.
• Ability to reflect and explain complex problems in a clear, simple way to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on delivering practical, scalable solutions to address real-world challenges in the retail industry.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, where priorities may shift, and new challenges arise regularly.
• MSc. or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. A PhD in computer vision is an advantage.
