Financial Controller

Description

This full-time position is based in Tel Aviv and entails a significant role within Bizzabo’s finance team. The ideal candidate should have several years of experience as a Controller in the hi-tech industry (an advantage to SaaS startups), possess hands-on and self-learning abilities and interpersonal skills, and serve as a strong team player.

With a deep understanding of accounting and financial reporting, the Financial Controller will ensure that business operations are aligned with Bizzabo’s policies, develop and implement financial policies and procedures, and be responsible for the accuracy of the financial statements and records. As a Financial Controller, you will hold a high level of responsibility and trust within the organization. The ideal candidate for this role is independent, responsible, and professional and can work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-organizational team.

Requirements

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, overseeing the preparation of necessary financial statements, tax filings, and consolidated financial statements, while maintaining ongoing collaboration with external accountants for our subsidiaries.
• Work closely with various interfaces within the finance (FP&A, bookkeeping, billing) and other departments in the organization.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards, managing accounting procedures including Revenue Recognition (ASC 606), R&D Capitalization (ASC 840), Lease Accounting, SBC, and additional regulatory requirements.
• Assist with local & international tax-related matters.
• Assist in handling the company's treasury operations and hedging activities.
• Support in preparing management reports and presentations for board meetings.
• Manage audit processes and work closely with external auditors and during the annual audit.
• Ad-hoc projects, as well as automation projects and process improvements.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting – a MUST
• CPA from a Big4 accounting firm – High-Tech sector
• At least 2-3 positions as a controller or assistant controller with a hi-tech company (SaaS startup – advantage)
• Excellent computer skills; Significant experience using NetSuite (ERP) – a MUST
• Ability to work in a fast-paced global company, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Strong hands-on approach, proactive, quick learner, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  
  

• Previous experience in a SaaS startup
• Good knowledge of Israeli and US tax and tax reporting experience
