Assistant Financial Controller

Title: Assistant Financial Controller

Location: Global HQ - Israel.

Reports to: Global Financial Controller/CEO

Edushape is a 40-year-old business that carries a lot of expertise in child development & educational toys, headquartered in Israel, and branches in North America and China.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and manage cash flows and banking facilities including preparation of monthly cash flow projections
• Performs month end, quarterly and year end close including preparation of financial / management reports
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Implement opportunities to streamline processes and enhance controls
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other statutory bodies, assist in external audit activities
• Additional controller duties as necessary

Requirements

• CPA, Advanced degree in accounting
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Fantastic spoken and written English
• Superb leadership, confident communication, and collaboration abilities
• A multi-tasker who can manage multiple projects in parallel and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities to take ownership of business processes and produce results
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to create briefing documents and presentations
