student internship

Join us - We're looking for a student internship for our Beit Shemesh site.

As an intern, a student in the R&D team will have the opportunity to gain exposure to the world of vaccine component development during the research and development stages. The intern will be involved in various projects in the fields of microbiology, virology, and molecular biology, with a focus on learning basic and advanced research methods. This will include techniques such as multiplication and quantification of bacteria and viruses, working with cell lines, qPCR, working with fermenters and bioreactors, reverse genetics, and expression of recombinant proteins. Early exposure to the industry opens opportunities for rapid career advancement while allowing for simultaneous academic progress.

Background and Qualifications:

• Second or third-year Bachelor's degree students in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology, and agriculture, as well as Bachelor's degree graduates who plan to pursue a master's degree.
• Experience in laboratory work is advantageous
• The position is part-time, and there is flexibility in terms of days and hours

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Learning about animal diseases, viruses, and vaccines
• Understanding industry regulations and quality assurance requirements
• Conducting research using in vivo, in vitro, and in silico tests to assess safety and efficacy
• Collecting and analyzing laboratory data, preparing scientific reports, and documenting findings in a digital notebook.
• Presenting experimental results and findings to the team and department
