Product Manager – Video AI | Azure AI Video Indexer

The Video AI team is dedicated to developing artificial media intelligence solutions. A few years back, our team developed Azure AI Video Indexer (vi.microsoft.com) - a solution designed to derive ML-based business insights such as spoken words, transcription, OCR, celebrities, emotions, topics, brands, scenes, and more from video and audio files. This technology enhances searchability, accessibility, and user interaction scenarios across various industries, integrated with large and small language models, such as Azure Open AI. We offer an advanced web interface and APIs, as well as a free trial version. Our customers span the globe, across industries.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Roadmap: Identify opportunities and set the vision for Video Indexer through market insights and collaboration with senior PMs.
• Feature Development: Partner with technical teams to define and deliver new features, guided by user stories and success metrics.
• Video AI Integration: Utilize AI technologies like LLM, VLM, or SLM to advance Video Indexer, work with legal ensuring responsible innovation.
• Live Streaming Expertise: Apply your knowledge of real-time video in sectors such as intelligence or manufacturing to enhance our streaming capabilities.
• User-Centric Design: Act on user feedback to refine the user experience continually.
• Team Collaboration: Align product efforts with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
• Analytics: Use metrics to inform decisions and track product performance, focusing on user adoption and satisfaction.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience in product management, preferably in software or AI-related products.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  
  

Advantageous Skills

• Familiarity with video technologies, AI, and cloud/edge services.
• Technical / coding skills
• Understanding of LLM (Language and Linguistic Models), VLM (Vision and Language Models), or SLM (Speech and Language Models).
• Experience with live video streaming in intelligence, defense, or manufacturing contexts.
