Head of Biology

An exceptional Ag-tech /Food-tech startup is looking for a senior biologist. The company headquarters is located in Tel Aviv. Join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and biologists to tackle the most burning questions of the ag-tech and food-tech industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·    Lead and lend your expertise for multi-faceted projects in collaboration with the company scientists, engineers, and other specialists.

·    Plan and execute experiments according to the company’s objectives; Track project costs and timeline.

·    Prepare technical reports and protocols.

·    Lead the preparation of proposals for projects, providing technical input, contributing to proposal writing, identifying opportunities, and engaging with potential collaborators.

·    Provide mentorship and support for junior staff.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

·    A senior-level biologist with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading biological projects and tasks, effectively managing resources, schedules, and budgets. 

·    Hold an MSc. or PhD. degree in plant science or related fields.

·   Preparing regulatory permit applications and experience in clinical research.

·    Analytical yet practical-oriented research approach targeting plant growth optimization. 

·    Strong interpersonal skills, a team player, extremely resourceful, independent, and self-motivated

·    Excellent analytical skills and a solid understanding of biology.

·    Good technical orientation.

·    Excellent oral and presentation skills.

·    Proficiency in writing reports along with writing and leading proposals.

·    Fluent in English (reading and writing skills)
