Regulatory Compliance Manager - European Banking & Payments

As a Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the European banking and payments industry. Your expertise will help ensure that our financial services comply with all applicable EU regulations, safeguarding our operations and enhancing our market position

Job Responsibilities:

• Work on EMI (Electronic Money Institutions) payments and banking regulation in Europe.
• Lead procedures for obtaining various types of European licenses.
• Read European standards and regulations and prepare executive summaries and other internal materials.
• Represent the company in compliance processes with partners and suppliers, such as banks, clearinghouses, and others.
• The majority of the work will be conducted in English. A very high level of proficiency is required, with strong skills in writing and correspondence: mandatory.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into business processes and product development.
• Lead initiatives to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the company.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training initiatives to ensure company-wide adherence.

Requirements

• Law degree from an accredited law school with current attorney licensure - required.
• Proven experience as a Compliance Manager or Compliance Officer, specifically within the European financial services sector.
• Deep understanding of EU financial regulations and standards, with a focus on banking and payment systems.
• Experience in leading and managing a compliance team is an advantage.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of team development and management.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Fluency in English and Hebrew with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The position does not involve handling other issues, such as commercial disputes or labor law.
