Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Data Engineer Team Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the Data Engineering team, ensuring compliance with FUSA requirements and ISO266262 certification. Additionally, this role involves leading the development of Data Engineering infrastructure and tools, coordinating technical work, and managing personnel to drive the success of our data engineering team.

Responsibilities

Data Engineering Development (50%)

• Contribute to the development of data engineering objectives and tools.
• Ensure the data pipeline, data collection tools, and other elements follow Leddartech best practices to meet FUSA requirements and achieve ISO266262 certification.
• Design and develop complex software systems for managing autonomous system data, workflow, and processing infrastructure.
• Utilize best practices, including third-party and open-source resources, to meet company needs.
• Lead the development of software in Python or any other selected language under Linux and Windows OS.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
  
  

Team Lead Management (30%)

• Lead the development of software infrastructure and tools for the data engineering team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Algo and App groups to define requirements and priorities.
• Work with the team to choose appropriate implementation language, tool set, and interfaces.
• Develop processes and best practices for the data engineering team to meet ISO26262 and ASPICE standards.
• Assign and coordinate the technical work of the team.
  
  

Personnel Management (20%)

• Assist in the recruiting process, train, evaluate, and ensure the professional development of the team.
• Stimulate engagement and retention within the team.
• Enforce company processes and policies, including code review.
• Communicate cross-functional information through town halls, all-hands meetings, demos, etc.
• Set individual objectives for the team based on department and company objectives and evaluate progress.
• Keep knowledge up to date.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to design and deploy data storage and management solutions.
• Work with the Data Collection team to design and deploy data collection tools.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in leading a Data Engineering team or teams.
• Proven experience in data engineering and software development.
• Strong knowledge of Python or other selected programming languages.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ISO26262 and ASPICE standards preferred.
