Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and/or Computer Vision to join our passionate team. As a Senior ML Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing our machine learning algorithms and models, particularly in the areas of NLP and LLM (Large Language Models) or Computer Vision.

SignalPET is a technology and AI leader in the veterinary field. Using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and patented technology, SignalPET assists veterinarians in diagnosing and treating companion animals all around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms with a focus on NLP and LLM or Computer Vision.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable machine learning solutions.
• Research, experiment, and innovate in the fields of NLP and LLM or Computer Vision to drive advancements in veterinary diagnostics.
• Develop data pipelines for data collection, preprocessing, and feature engineering to support machine learning initiatives.
• Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries, frameworks, and tools to enhance model performance and efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members, provide technical guidance, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering or related roles, with a strong focus on NLP and/or Computer Vision.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, or OpenCV.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid Knowledge in one of the following fields:
• NLP techniques such as sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and text classification.
• Experience with LLMs (Large Language Models) such as BERT, GPT, or Transformer models is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Computer Vision techniques including image classification, object detection, and segmentation.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in the healthcare or veterinary industry.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with deep learning architectures and methodologies.
• Publications or contributions to relevant conferences or journals in NLP or Computer Vision.
