Breeding team leader

Entoprotech is a biotech company developing cutting-edge technology to convert food waste to a range of innovative sustainable products in the fields of nutrition, animal health, and pharmaceuticals through a large-scale operation using Black Soldier Fly (BSF, Hermetia illucens). For our lab in Granot Industrial Park (Gan Shemuel), we are looking for We are looking for a Process Development Expert with a passion for promoting sustainability through science and innovative technology to join our R&D department (Granot Industrial Park, Gan Shemuel). The ideal candidate would be a leader, a highly motivated self-learner with a can-do attitude.

About the position:

The team leader will be managing the BSF rearing activities, which include both ongoing R&D and operations ramp-up support. The team leader will be responsible for the design, execution and analysis of all rearing experiments from ideation to the R&D scale, as well as overseeing the technology transfer and implementation at the pilot scale. This role combines benchwork, project management, technology readiness for mass-production. The team leader will work closely with the breeding and processing teams within Entoprotech, as well as with leading academic centers, consultants, and industry partners to ensure successful outcomes. The Rearing team leader will report to the BSF Breeding and Rearing Team Leader

Requirements:

·      MSc/PhD degree in Biology/Entomology/Biotechnology or BSc in relevant Engineering field.

·      2+ years of industry experience – a must

·      Solid English – a must

·      Team leading experience- a plus

·      Experience with insects/Drosophila – a plus

·      Experience in mass-production, breeding, pilot – a plus

·      Project management skills – a plus
