In addition, Sequent is a portfolio company of the Microsoft for Startups program and an active contributor to the Microsoft ElectionGuard Project - an open-source software development kit (SDK) that makes voting more secure, transparent and accessible.

An overview of this role

As VP of Delivery & PreSale, you will own the end-to-end delivery of Sequent elections and serve as a senior technical-commercial leader in the presales cycle. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends operational execution, partner enablement, security and standards ownership, and solutions engineering.

You will ensure elections are delivered predictably and safely, from requirements through configuration, readiness, live execution, audits, and post-election closure. In parallel, you will support growth by leading solution discovery, shaping implementation approaches, supporting proposal pricing, and running technical demonstrations with prospective customers. You will also drive internal process excellence by building repeatable delivery playbooks and automation that scales.

What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Lead election delivery with Sequent’s customers, owning planning, readiness, execution, and post-election wrap-up for high-trust elections.
• Deliver national and large-scale programs, including complex stakeholder environments, strict timelines, and higher operational risk profiles.
• Create internal delivery processes and automation to improve accuracy, speed, repeatability, incident response, and cross-team handoffs.
• Own security and international standards alignment within delivery and implementation, ensuring delivery practices, documentation, and controls meet relevant expectations and client requirements.
• Build and enable partner delivery models, including partner onboarding, training, certification, and ongoing quality control for partner-run elections.
• Travel to client sites as needed to support critical phases of delivery, align with executive stakeholders, and support live election operations.
• Lead solution discovery and pricing support, joining customer calls to clarify requirements, shape the implementation approach, and support accurate scoping and commercial proposals.
• Run pre-purchase demos, presenting Sequent’s platform credibly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including security, audit, and compliance audiences.
• Partner with Product and R&D on system definition, translating customer requirements into clear specifications, delivery constraints, and roadmap inputs (including PRDs when needed).

What will you bring?

You're an ideal candidate if you have:

• 8+ years of experience leading delivery for a complex B2B SaaS product (cybersecurity, fintech, identity, critical infrastructure, GovTech, or similarly regulated domains).
• Proven ownership of mission-critical operations, including go-live readiness, runbooks, incident handling, and stakeholder communications under pressure.
• Experience scoping implementations and translating requirements into a clear solution plan, timeline, risks, and dependencies.
• Strong presales capability: discovery, solution shaping, running product demos, and supporting proposals and pricing with rigor.
• Working knowledge of security and compliance concepts, and the discipline to operationalize them in delivery processes (access control, audit trails, change control, documentation, vendor risk, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal, with executive-level presence and strong internal alignment skills.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience delivering elections, public-sector programs, or other high-integrity workflows (audits, regulated transactions, secure ceremonies).
• Spanish or French fluency.
• Experience building and managing partner delivery programs.
• Comfort working with cryptographic or verifiable systems, even if you are not the cryptography author.
