Controller - maternity leave replacement

Theator is a team dedicated to the alleviation of variability and disparity in the world of surgery. We do so by leveraging cutting-edge deep tech to understand what surgical best practices look like in the real world. Computer vision allows us to structure unstructured surgical footage. A variety of other AI tools help us understand context, then identify best practices to guide humans and robots and provide billions around the world with access to safe and affordable surgical care.

We are looking for a temporary Controller for a minimum of 4 months, to support our Finance team, reporting to our VP Finance.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Managing the Israeli and US entities - overseeing accounting functions, monthly reporting packages, and monthly close process
• Prepare consolidated periodical reporting packages
• Provide professional guidance and assistance to the bookkeeper
• Monitor and manage cash, expenses, billing, and collection
• Reviewing VAT returns, WHT and other statutory reports in local GAAP for the entities and other local reports
• Determine and manage revenue recognition based on US GAAP
• Reconcile inter-company balances include transfer pricing monthly process (and invoicing)
• Review payroll
• Manage Fixed Asset, AR, AP, Prepaid expenses/ Accrued expenses process
• Coordinate and support external and internal audits and reviews
  
  

• CPA certification from a Big4 accounting firm
• At least 2-3 years as an assistant controller/ 1 year as a controller
• Experience in Netsuite - Must
• Experience with the preparation of financial reports based on US GAAP
• Hands-on and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and multi-tasking skills
• Superior Excel skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-taught, able to work independently
• High level of English
• Team player
