Application Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application and Qualification Engineer to join our development team.

In this position, you will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and qualification of our multidisciplinary system. You will require a deep understanding of both software application engineering and system validation to ensure that all aspects of the system meet stringent quality standards. You'll play a key role in testing our optical, mechanical, electrical and electronic modules with our software and control setups. You'll get hands-on with our first prototypes, making sure everything operates robustly by running system tests, quality assurance protocols and performance analyses. Reporting to our head of engineering, you will work closely with our software teams and hardware development team.

Responsibilities

• Define the scope of application testing within the context of each release/delivery.
• Develop test plans and strategies that ensure software or hardware meets all requirements and quality standards.
• Ensure that the product is functional, reliable, and meets both external and internal standards.
• Assist in the configuration and deployment of applications. Ensure integration with existing systems and platforms.
• Work closely with clients and product team to understand requirements and translate them into system functionalities
• Participate in meetings with customers, lead implementation projects and address field issues and customers’ requests
• Create professional test reports and technical documentation  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in application and qualifcation of complex systems
• Familiarity with multiple fields such as mechanical, electrical and software engineering, ensuring they meet all functional and technical requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members from different backgrounds
• Ability to write test procedures and QA protocols, attention to detail and documentation
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
