Java Software Engineer

An international IT company in the security field, specializing mainly in Web Application Firewall (WAF) products, providing protection for websites, even for small businesses and website owners who cannot afford to spend tens of thousands of dollars on hardware and licensing for existing solutions, and often don't really know how to operate them.

The essence of the role involves a very large project in collaboration with the company that acquired them in January 2024 and belongs to their cyber division. Together, they are creating a new product combining the technologies of both companies. This project is the most central in the company.

The role is part of a team of 6 developers, reporting to the R&D manager.

The technological stack includes Java, AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, and Kubernetes.

The company is located in Tel Aviv near a train station and operates on a hybrid model with 3 days remote work.

Requirements:

• 5 years of hands-on experience as a Backend Engineer in a global organization
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent from a known university
• Experience with building high-performance, large-scale server applications and reliable software
• Experience in leading complex projects from initiation to delivery
• Experience with designing complex architectures
• Proficient in working within a multi-threaded environment.
• Solid understanding of Cloud technologies
• Proficiency in a variety of programming languages: Python, Node.js - an advantage
