Senior Software Engineer Team Lead

A profitable and successful company in the field of data, developing AI-based technology and smart algorithms that enable app owners to reach their most relevant user base by predicting real-time interests and analyzing data on a massive scale.

As part of the role, you'll be establishing a new team, expected to recruit 2 employees. Reporting to the Director and working closely with the CTO, the role is 100% hands-on and will diminish as the team grows. Developing a large-scale real-time (low latency) system in production, equally focused on backend and client in NodeJS and React. The technological stack includes Redis, Presto, Kubernetes, AWS.

Located in Tel Aviv near the train station, offering 2 days of remote work. The company has 75 employees.

Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and manage large scale, highly available, real-time (low latency) services using cutting edge technologies (Node.js, React, Redis, Kubernetes, etc. over AWS).

• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to craft the most optimal solutions for problems

• Design and develop APIs or integrate with 3rd party APIs

• Performing code reviews to other team members

• Assist in-house teams and supply creative solutions for various problems

• Understand and implement security and data protection needs

• Mentor team members to reach their full potential

• Hire new team members

• Manage a time-efficient sprint plan

Requirements-

• 6+ years of coding experience:

• Backend (NodeJS is preferred)

• Frontend (One of the popular frameworks; React, Vue, Angular)

• Working knowledge with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Working with one of the cloud providers: AWS, Google, Microsoft

• 1+ years of management experience - advantage

• Experience in the software life cycle and knowing how to work in an agile environment

• Comfortable with receiving code reviews, as well as giving code reviews to others

• Self-sufficient, capable of learning alone

• Good English
