Health Tech Sector Lead - Maternity leave replacement

The Health Tech Sector Lead will be a primary source of knowledge about Israel's health sector and assist in Startup Nation Central’s mission to nurture and expand the Israeli innovation ecosystem, with a focus on health tech sector. As part of the Ecosystem Growth group, the Health Tech sector lead will generate business value to local clients of the Israeli ecosystem (startups, corporates, VCs, academia, and others) to support their commercial growth. The main domains of expertise and focus required are: Digital Health, Medical Devices and Pharma.

Maternity leave replacement

The position is made up of 3 main pillars:

1. Relationship building: Manage Startup Nation Central’s relationships with key players, including VCs and MNCs operating in Israel, and proactively engage with them to provide value to the sector. In this capacity the sector lead will collaborate with internal stakeholders (Press, Marketing, Global Partnerships, Product and Human Capital) to achieve projected impact.
2. Deep sector knowledge: Challenges, trends, numbers/data, key players, prominent startups, and their needs
3. Design, plan and execute sector workplan and roadmap leveraging deep knowledge of the sector and Startup Nation Central’s capacities. The sector lead is required to translate sector-specific challenges into actionable projects, from ideation and design to effective execution.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working in the healthcare field in any form (Business development, project management, technology, finance, etc.).
• High-level English communication and presentation skills.
• Deep relationships with the Israeli Health Tech ecosystem (startups, HMOs, local MNCs and more).
• Entrepreneurial experience in healthcare (advantageous).
• Academic degree in any Life Sciences domain (advantageous).
• This is an independent self-starting position, meant for a creative person who thinks out of the box.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Persistent drive for initiative and creativity.
• Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities, projects, and relationships.
• Problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done in a matrix environment.
• A self-starter and hard-working person who is also comfortable working in a team.
