Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of attending physicians in the emergency department.
2. Perform comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries.
3. Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on patient needs and established protocols.
4. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case presentations, and educational conferences.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in emergency procedures, including resuscitation, trauma management, and critical care interventions.
6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment interventions.
7. Engage in continuous learning and professional development through self-directed study and participation in educational activities.
8. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
9. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of medical practice and comply with institutional policies and regulations.
10. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Completion of at least one year of postgraduate clinical training (internship) in an ACGME-accredited program.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the state where the residency program is located.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Demonstrated interest in emergency medicine, evidenced by prior clinical experience, research involvement, or extracurricular activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
