Principal Product Manager - Kusto

The Kusto team builds Microsoft’s big data interactive analytics service – Azure Data Explorer and Real Time Analytics in Microsoft Fabric. The service is growing rapidly and gaining traction with Microsoft’s top customers and partners. The service powers Microsoft big data interactive analytics products and is used extensively to operate many other Microsoft services and products. The Kusto product team is expanding as the Kusto platform with its Azure Data Explorer and Eventhouse in Fabric services gets more momentum and adoption globally. We are looking for a strong, highly motivated program manager with strong technical skills, customer orientation, analytical background and exceptional cross-group and cross-geo collaboration skills. In this role you will drive features to power big data analytics in Azure Data Explorer and Microsoft Fabric and solutions built on it.

Responsibilities

• Drive Innovation in the Kusto engine.
• Engage with partners and stakeholders to reach an end-to-end breakthrough customer value
• Define and track the key success indicators, and drive usage
• Program management of the execution plan per timelines and partners dependencies
• Track and communicate project status to development teams, partners, and management
• Work with engineers on innovative technologies and change how the industry consumes data.
• Evangelize the Kusto technologies with customers and the community through blogs, books, videos, and other community engagements.
  
  

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience as a product/program manager and/or software development experience, including experience with distributed computing.
• Experience in building big data and algorithm-centric cloud systems.
• Experience in working closely with data engineers, data developers and big data experts.
• Passion for technology and quality with a strong customer focus
• Proven ability to manage projects and deliver on schedule
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
• B.Sc/BA, MSc./MA, degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
• Team player, creative, confident and enthusiastic
