Optics Inspector

Description

Innoviz is looking for a talented Optics Inspector to join the Operations Quality group. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing measuring protocols for optical and mechanical parts.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of optic components to ensure they meet quality specifications and standards
• Identify and document any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities during the inspection process
• Utilize various inspection tools and equipment to accurately assess the quality of optic components
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and documentation for quality assurance purposes
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and procedures
• Collaborate with optical and mechanical engineers to define specifications, dimensions, and tolerances for quality control according to GD&T standards
• Technical alignment and communication with manufacturers on measurement methods and processes, including required fixtures and set-ups
  
  

• Practical engineer in relevant field
• Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably in the optics industry
• Strong understanding of optical principles and components
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and discrepancies
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality improvement
