VP R&D for a Medical Device Start-Up

Responsibilities:

• the long-term roadmap and detailed annual product development plans that support the company strategic business plans.
• the entire range of development activities from product requirements, through design, V&V including supporting product transfer to production.
• the V&V, DHF, DMR
• develop and retain top talent for the R&D function, while motivating staff to continually improve its performance.
• for all R&D DHF and DMR file deliverables, ensuring products are developed and validated in a manner that complies with global regulatory requirements for Class II medical devices.
• technical supervision and support for the R&D team including guidance, product investigations, problem-solving, and implementation of solutions.

Requirements:

BSC, MSC, or PhD degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering with honors!!! from a leading university

At least 10 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary systems in a medical devices company – Mandatory

Excellent track record and achievements

Experience in setting, scaling, and managing the research and development function, with the proven ability to attract, inspire, motivate, and retain top-tier talent.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Hebrew and English

Willingness to work long hours, to travel when required

Desire to be “hands-on”, self-driven
