Our goal is to provide vehicles of the future with safety when going airborne. For this we aim to develop a collision avoidance system merging capabilities from aerospace and automotive fields. To support us we are looking for a founding partner who takes the technical lead in this endeavor. You assess existing and missing sensor capabilities, define our development roadmap, coordinate cooperation with research bodies and industry partners. Background developing imaging radar systems for vehicles or airborne systems is mandatory, including familiarity with latest radar systems, antennas, beamforming and signal processing techniques.

CARPAS is a very early stage start-up. Our goal is to finalize technical and organizational milestones and to apply for funding in 2024. As free-lancers we work on our own expense until first funding is received + we own a share of the company we create. We work from home and casually attend meetings in person. Time to see fruits from this endeavor and the amount of work ahead should not be underestimated. Specifications, roadmap and business-plan are not ready waiting for you to take over. They still need to be worked out and you will have to develop a significant part of that on your own. If you are an autodidact, proactive and self-organizing that could be a good fit. If you intend to maintain a full-time job in parallel, this would not fit. This job may suit a free-lancer or postgrad student (academic partnership/involvement welcome) or anyone else with sufficient background, time resources and enthusiasm to build a company from scratch.
