BI Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced end-to-end Business Intelligence developer, for the design and development of Enterprise BI solutions, including Data Processing, Data modeling and Reporting, mostly with Microsoft tools.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across Varonis in order to develop and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions to enable business insights and decisions. You will be the subject matter expert in creating interactive visualizations and automated reporting to support shared business goals. You will be a part of a high-functioning and collaborative Business Intelligence & Analytics team.

You are responsible for

• Manage the data and QA engineers in order to deliver effective Business Intelligence Analytics & Reporting
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Take ownership of the data warehouse and data integrity loaded into it
• Monitor the development and maintenance of the ETL processes
• Design data warehouse, including staging, fact, dimensions, and data models and reports in the semantic layer
• Manage the quality of code within the BI team
• Conduct performance reviews with the data and QA engineers
• Set team objectives and monitor progress towards achieving them
• Coach and mentor the data and QA engineers
• Manage own professional and self-development
• Provide technical assistance as necessary to end-users as well as development staff
  
  

• 4+ years of management experience - mandatory
• 5+ years of development experience with BI tools – mandatory, with Microsoft tools - advantage
• Knowledge of relational databases, ETL, data warehouses, and analytics - mandatory
• Knowledge of business intelligence tools, concepts and architecture - mandatory
• Knowledge of BI Stack, including MSSQL, SSIS, PowerBI - strong advantage
• SQL- mandatory
• DAX – strong advantage
• Experience with source control systems (TFS, Git, or other) – mandatory
• Python - advantage
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Goal-oriented, organized team player
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
• English verbal and written communication skills
