Data Project Manager - Student Position

Growings is an exciting startup that is revolutionizing the agricultural field with innovative technology. Growings is a well-funded startup and is a collaboration between Tama – an internationally known farm solutions global company, and IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries.

Growings has developed a unique autonomous Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) – it is a 1.5 ton air vehicle - which utilizes the most advanced avionics and aerodynamics technologies that are specifically optimized for the agriculture market. Growings’ UAS aims for precise agriculture solutions in crop-treatment while also focusing on safety and environmental preservation.

As part of the Detect and Avoid (DAA) team, we focus on mapping the world and identifying obstacles using visual data.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to assist us in managing and scaling up our database. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data management within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Location: Kadima, Center District, Israel (On-site)

Job Description:

• Needs Assessment: Understand the data requirements based on system specifications.
• Analysis: Analyse the existing database to identify any gaps in meeting the requirements.
• Collection Planning: Plan and execute the data collection process, coordinating resources such as vehicles, drones, cameras, computers, and team members.
• Tagging and Annotation: Oversee the tagging and annotation process for various elements (e.g., power lines, poles) with external partners, including reviewing results and providing feedback.
• Documentation: Document and record all data-related processes and results.
• Management: Ensure the database is well-managed and organized, maintaining alignment with current storage standards.
• Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the data-related computing infrastructure, including exploring better methods, software, and hardware solutions.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of Python or any other programming language.
• Familiarity with computing resources.
• Driving license - must
