About us

The Samueli Integrative Cancer Pioneering Institute is a new research organization at the Rabin Medical Center. The Institute synergizes unique accessibility to a strong oncology infrastructure, huge databases of one of the largest health organizations in the world, as well as a culture of research excellence for the design, development and manufacturing of novel immunotherapies.

Position

We are looking for a research assistant to join the translational research team. The successful applicant will lead and execute multiple research projects in the fields of gene, cell and immunotherapies in a clinically relevant setting.

We are looking for candidates who

·        are passionate about immunotherapy, gene and cell therapeutics

·        have a goal driven mindset and retain awareness of the big picture

·        are looking for opportunities to grow and learn

·        are willing to mentor peers

·        have a keen interest in harnessing novel techniques to achieve goals

Qualifications:

·        3 to 6 years of experience in medical or life science research, which can include years in academia during graduate school

Particular interest will be given to candidates demonstrating experience with:

·        mammalian cell line maintenance, primary immune cells culture characterization, activation and differentiation

·        LV/RV/AAV vectors design and production

·        genome editing

·        cloning, DNA manipulation, bacterial culture and plasmid production

Additional considerations will be given to candidates demonstrating experience in:

·        protein purification and analysis

·        LNP production

·        mRNA synthesis

·        genome editing techniques beyond CRISPR-Cas9
