Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Linux System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Linux-based infrastructure for significant projects in the cybersecurity domain. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging assignments and leverage modern DevOps tools to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based systems and services to support critical cybersecurity projects and initiatives.

Implement security best practices and controls on Linux infrastructure to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the development, deployment, and operation of infrastructure components.

Configure and manage DevOps tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Puppet, Docker, and Kubernetes, to automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring tasks.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits of Linux systems, identifying and remedying security gaps and weaknesses.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and reliability of Linux-based infrastructure.

Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance with organizational standards.

Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and security trends in the Linux and DevOps domains, and provide recommendations for their adoption.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator in a security-focused environment.

Strong proficiency in administering Linux-based systems, including CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Ubuntu.

Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and system administration tasks.

Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools, including configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices, with experience implementing security controls and conducting risk assessments.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Security certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC would be a plus.
