Marketing and Students Coordinator

Glocal is a unique MA program at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, that aspires to train young practitioners in the development field. The program focuses on working with disadvantaged communities worldwide and brings together academic and practical training in the developing world. Glocal is searching for an international student coordinator to assist international students, the program’s marketing and outreach, and overall operation.

Job description and responsibilities:

1 | Program publications and PR

• Assistance in drafting and marketing Glocal written material, both online and offline
• Managing Open Days, presenting the program at conferences
• Coordinating Glocal’s public events
• Managing Glocal’s media
• Managing and operating Glocal’s social media channels and website
• Coordinating Glocal’s marketing campaigns
• Leading communication with HUJI Marketing teams

2 | International students’ arrival to Israel

• Preparing Glocal’s orientation week
• Coordinating students’ entry to Israel (communicating with embassies, scheduling dorms, etc.)
• Supporting students in their adaptation to Jerusalem, Israel, and HUJI
• Coordinating Glocal’s buddy system

Time frame:

35% position, to begin as soon as possible.

Requirements:

• Fluent, professional English and good Hebrew proficiency (in reading and speaking)
• Strong interpersonal skills (a “people” person)
• Innovation, motivation, and good team spirit
• Experience in marketing or social media
• An eye for design and experience in Canva or similar platform (an advantage)
