Chief Technology Officer (Volunteer)

HaBait Shel Bar is a non profit organization (patient advocacy group), that leads the gynecology-oncology field in Israel. Founded in 2022, HaBait Shel Bar’s aim is to be the home for every woman who deals with gynecological cancer and to her family, in order to ease, help, and promote the patient’s health and wellness. The association promotes women's health by raising public awareness of gynecological cancers and serves as the patients’ voice in front of policymakers.

We are seeking a CTO to volunteer part-time and become part of our amazing team.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing the NPO’s technology strategy
• Ensuring technology is utilized efficiently and securely
• Evaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our activities. The successful candidate will work directly with our managing team and vendors.

Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technology trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of all technical aspects of the NPO’s strategy to ensure alignment with its goals.
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage.
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
• Manage development team members, freelance or vendors

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy.
• Understanding of budgets and business-planning
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research.
• Ability to lead technological team members, freelance or vendors.
• Ability to implement AI and ML into digital health technologies
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Strategic thinking
• Problem-solving attitude
• Medical tech experience or digital health experience is an advantage.
