Laser Physicist

We are looking for a Laser Physicist to join us at the Missiles and Space Systems Division.

What will you do:

• Leading research and development of complex laser systems, including theoretical analysis, optimization, assembly of systems, and performance characterization in the lab.
• Continuous guidance and support for Electro-Optics engineers and technicians.
• Leading complex integrations, including electronic, mechanical, and cooling system integration.
• Conducting field trials and executing acceptance tests.
• Working in a matrix structure, collaborating with technical teams in hardware, control, mechanics, software, and business entities.
• Engineering responsibility throughout project stages - concept development, engineering requirements definition, subsystem interfaces, specification writing, documentation, and design management.
• Systematic view, multi-domain project development, and integration experience.
• Managing and guiding subcontractors and clients nationally and internationally in challenging timelines.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering/Exact Sciences - mandator.
• PhD in Engineering/Exact Sciences - an advantage
• Over 5 years of experience working with lasers in laboratories - mandatory.
• Profound familiarity with electro-optical components and measurement tools - mandatory.
• Extensive knowledge of laser physics and experience in laser development from basic elements - an advantage.
• Willingness to work extensively in laboratories.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and team collaboration, including documentation and information sharing.
• Fast learning ability and analytical skills for complex subjects..
• Broad systematic view.
• High-security clearance - an advantage.
